This tote bag incorporates strips of
fabric; lots of machine quilting (both inside and out; and the
straps); and various pockets too.
In February 2010, I made this tote as a
gift for the gal who hosts our get-a-way stitching / needlework
retreat each winter since 2005 up in Tioga County, PA. The
place we stay at is a hunting lodge and has incredible
history/charm.
The focal point of the crazy patch pocket on the front is an image
of the hunting lodge transferred onto fabric.

The crazy patch is also signed by each gal who attended the retreat.
Inside there are several pockets;
divided into logical compartments for holding
pens/pencils/notes/scissors; etc.
This tote bag design was an adaptation
of a jelly roll tote bag pattern I purchased. The fabrics used
include cottons and drapery-type fabrics. Below is an
image of the back side. |
