Wedding Gift for Maria & Ed
I designed and created a mixed media collage for Maria & Ed
as a wedding gift. My inspiration for this project came from their wedding
invitation.
Base fabric is linen;
which I hand-painted; embroidered using textured fibers; and layered with lace/ribbons.
The fabric
postcard I created using Photoshop & contains details about their wedding. (The
cancel mark has the date/time and location of their wedding.) I printed
the postcard image on fabric using an ink jet printer; and assembled this into a
fabric postcard.
A crystal from an old chandelier is dangled by a ribbon from on top of the mat
board. This layering technique I use gives added dimension to the piece.
