nail biting, Rolaids popping, 6 to 5 start the
bus let’s get out of here before this goes bad,
win. The victory is the fourth in a row and
makes the Whippets 11-4 overall and 10-4 in the

Downingtown beats Henderson . . . District
Playoffs (and bye?) Next! |
The Henderson Warriors visited
Downingtown to play for second
place in the Ches-mont National
Division as well as what this
writer has calculated is the
second automatic Ches-mont League
bid that usually brings with it
a first round playoff bye. That
bye will be going to the
Whippets as they scored early
and then again late to beat the
Warriors 4-3. Henderson did not
go home empty handed as they
will be getting the first at
large playoff bid coming out of
the Ches-mont. The Whippets
regular season ended today with
their final record at 15-5
overall and 14-5 in the always
competitive Ches-mont League

Falls 2 Outs Short of States as
Hatboro-Horsham rallies in 7th |
The quarterfinal round of the District 1

Horsham against the #2 seeded
Hatboro-Horsham Hatters. At stake, a
Pennsylvania state playoff berth to the
winner or a trip to the consolation play-in
bracket for the loser. The Whippets
usually solid defense turned shaky and
allowed Hatboro-Horsham to get back in the
game . . .
